Mechanical Maintenance Technician - Monday to Friday days – 37 hours per week

We’re looking for a proactive Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team at our fast-paced chemical manufacturing site in Bradford. This is your chance to be part of a highly skilled maintenance team supporting a COMAH-regulated operation.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be responsible for executing planned, preventative, and reactive mechanical maintenance across a wide range of process plant equipment. From pump overhauls to seal fitting and equipment inspections, you’ll help ensure equipment uptime, plant reliability, and operational safety.

Your responsibilities will include:

Maintain, repair, and overhaul rotating equipment, pumps, valves, and related systemsEnsure high standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping (EHS & 5S)Log maintenance activity and feedback in SAPDiagnose faults and implement effective, long-term fixesSupport shutdowns, turnarounds, and compliance inspectionsWork collaboratively with engineers and technicians to resolve issuesEngage in continuous learning to improve performance and reduce downtime

What You’ll Bring

Level 3 Mechanical Apprenticeship (or equivalent)Hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance within a chemical or industrial settingSolid knowledge of rotating equipment, seal systems, and process plant machineryFamiliar with ATEX, confined space entry, and mechanical safety standardsConfident using SAP and Microsoft Office; strong understanding of maintenance cycles and risk assessmentsSelf-motivated, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a teamWilling and able to work at heights and in full PPE (incl. face-fit masks)

Desirable (but not essential):

COMAH site experienceCOMPEX EX11, SSSTSCertification or willingness to train in MEWP, FLT, lifting operations, and confined space ntry
