This role involves performing scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing repairs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance. **Critical Tasks:** · Perform routine and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment. · Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to determine the root cause and implement effective solutions. · Conduct inspections and tests to ensure equipment is functioning correctly and safely. · Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems. · Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs. · Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruption to operations. · Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities. · Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and perform necessary repairs. · During events, conferences or business meetings set up the rooms, configure the equipment and ensure that everything works perfectly during the event.For some types of specialized works or maintenance, the maintenance coordinates the work of external suppliers and craftsmen, ensuring that the services are carried out to the required standards and within the expected time. **Critical Competences:** · Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and machinery. · Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues. · Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. · Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. · Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments. · Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. · Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols. **Preferred Qualifications:** · High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred. · Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or a similar role. · Familiarity with standard maintenance practices and procedures. · Knowledge of BMS (Building Management Systems) · Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus. · Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks. · Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. _Marriott International is an equal opportunity employer.
