As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will deliver both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring every attraction is operating at its best and providing unforgettable experiences for thousands of visitors. In this hands-on role, no two days are the same. You’ll work across a variety of attractions—from thrilling rollercoasters to family-friendly rides—helping to keep them safe and operational. This role also involves occasional work at heights, offering a unique and thrilling working environment that challenges and rewards your expertise. **What You’ll Be Doing:** + Performing routine and emergency mechanical maintenance to ensure ride safety and performance. + Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical faults across a range of complex machinery. + Working closely with engineering teams to support continuous improvement and compliance with safety standards. + Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and reporting on equipment condition. + Adapting to a flexible schedule that includes weekends, bank holidays, and shift work to meet the operational demands of the resort. **What We’re Looking For:** + A qualified Mechanical Engineer with strong practical experience in mechanical maintenance. + Ideally apprenticeship-trained, holding a Level 3 engineering qualification or an equivalent certification. + Proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, with hands-on exposure to mechanical systems. + Good working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is highly desirable. + Flexibility with working hours and the ability to respond to the dynamic needs of a busy Resort. + Full, clean UK driving licence is essential. **The role is full time, permanent, averaging 40 hours per week and will include weekends and bank holidays as required.** **Due to the nature of this role, if selected for an interview you will be require to provide original copies of all relevant qualification certificates.** **Benefits** + A starting salary of £45,009, rising to £48,673 upon successful completion of training + 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) + ‘Enjoy the Ride’ Merlin Annual Passes - 6 in total per year, 1 for you, plus 5 to gift to loved ones! + Merlin Magic Pass - 20 free tickets for you, your family and friends to enjoy all of our Merlin Attractions across the world rising to 40 after a year’s service + Company bonus + Private pension scheme + 40% discount online off LEGO + 25% discount in our on-site retail shops and restaurants + Ongoing training and development opportunities + Plus, many more… **Pay Range** GBP £45,009.00/Yr.
