We are seeking a Mechanical Fitter who will be responsible in keeping our machines running efficiently and safely.
If you’re mechanically minded, with strong troubleshooting skills, a sharp eye for detail, and a commitment to safety – this role is for you.
Shifts: Day Shift 6:00 AM to 2:23 PM (Monday to Friday)
About The Role:
You will be working with the Plant Engineering Supervisor and team to ensure 100% up time of plant and equipment within the facility
What You'll Do:
Preventative and breakdown maintenance of both facility and equipmentTo ensure issues are identified and addressed as effectively and efficiently as possibleTo fix plant and equipment where required to keep equipment operationalGeneral fabrication, including weldingGeneral machining to manufacture componentsTo work as a team to achieve the best outcome for businessOther duties as required and directed by supervisor or manager

What We’re Looking For:
General machine (lathe/Milling machine operations) General welding/fabrication skills (Stick/mig/tig) General Printing/die cutting/ sheeting machine experience if possibleFlexible skills to work on any machines we have on siteGeneral hydraulic /pneumatics experience, preferably someone with the post trade certificate 4 in fluid power. Qualified Mechanical fitter/engineering trade certificate 3.5+ years in a similar roleTrade qualified Maintenance Fitter or equivalentAdvanced fault finding and trouble shooting skillsDemonstrated ability to work independently as well as a member of a teamAbility to manage own time, set priorities in conjunction with Supervisor / Manager, plan and organise work to meet set priorities
