Kforce has a client that is seeking a motivated Mechanical Field Engineer to integrate with our field construction teams in Austin, TX.
Summary:
The candidate will be responsible for assuring quality and efficient execution of Self Perform Construction and supporting our multi-discipline craft labor teams ranging from 800-1200 personnel. They will work 50-60 hour work weeks.
Duties:
* Integrate with field activities and ensure alignment with drawings, specifications, and construction quality; Including collecting field measurements, writing requests for information (RFIs), and providing as built redlines or other documentation or construction administration activities
* Review, understand, and implement construction document drawings, specifications, and quality standards
* Effectively and proactively communicate project needs, changes, and status to internal and external team members
* Assist internal quality team with creating field packages and subsequent test packages, ultimately driving projects through mechanical completion and turnover
* Support construction with change management, takeoffs, and progress reporting
* Providing construction and engineering teams with design interpretation and preferred constructability means and methods, respectively
* Identify opportunities for detail/design/constructability improvements and report back to the construction management teams
* Progress tracking via quantities and measuring KPIs and Installation Unit Rates
* Liaison between Factory Engineering, Quality, and Self Perform Construction to push project's forward
