Your new role – challenging and future-oriented:

Structural evaluation of Generators stator & rotor components – Static & dynamic assessment of stator frame, Fatigue (HCF/LCF) evaluation of stator, Fracture mechanics assessment of rotor, Transient & Harmonic response analysis of End winding, Shipping restraint verification etc.Finite element analysis of Generator components using ANSYS mechanical & workbench, NX-CAEOwnership of the mechanical integrity for various Generator designs projects and conduct structural integrity design review.Prepare and document FE calculation in the form of structural integrity design report.Work with project leads to understand the requirements, provide engineering data, timelines and deliver related design activities within the agreed timeline.Rapid support of design trade studies during development workPreparing requests for tests and validation for stationary components including bump testing and providing support during field issue resolutionRisk assessments (FMEA) and participate in Root-Cause investigations for Generator systems.

We don’t need superheroes, just super minds:

Bachelor / preferably Master’s degree in mechanical engineering/applied mechanics discipline from recognized university with Machine.2 to 4 years of experience in FEA (Finite Element Analysis) for linear, Non-linear, static, Transient, thermal and structural calculationProficiency in more than one of computational modelling tools – NX, Ansys, MATLAB.Working knowledge in Linux environment – Shell commands / Python script is added advantageExperience or knowledge about Generators and general power plant. Knowledge about Fault Diagnosis will be an added advantageProblem-solving skillsData analysis skillsGood verbal and written communication skillsPositive Interpersonal skills i.e., team player, quick learner, ability to adapt quickly & effectively etc.
