Mechanical Estimator (Junior or Intermediate Level) - £30,000 - £60,000


THE COMPANY
 
My client is a highly respected M&E Design & Build Company who are based in Dartford who have been operating for over 40 years and now employ around 40 staff directly.
 
As a business, they do everything from Design, installation through to Commissioning and maintenance to their vast portfolio of clients which include Police Stations, Courts, Office Fit Outs, Factories and more.
 
Due to growth, they are seeking a Mechanical Estimator at Junior of Intermediate Level to join the team.
 

THE POSITION – MECHANICAL ESTIMATOR


Monday – Friday
8am – 5pm
 
You will be office based in Dartford, working alongside 2 other Mechanical Estimator & 2 Electrical Estimators.
 
M&E Project Values vary between £10,000 - £5,000,000 and are a mix of Commercial Projects which include Police Stations, Courts, Office Fit Outs, Factories and more.
 
Reporting to the Estimating Manager, this role comprises but will not be limited to:

Tender document review and analysis including raising of RFI’s with the clientSupply chain correspondence and enquiriesTake-off as required conforming to standard estimating conventionsVetting incoming tenders/offers from our supply chain and ensuring that the most viable offer is included within our submissionPreparing tenders for internal adjudicationsAttendance of tender adjudication meetings to present costing approach, project duration, and risks to the businessTimely submission of tendersAttendance in handover of projects to the operations teamExperience and Qualifications
Preferably qualified by apprenticeship or to C & G/ONC levelProven experience in a similar position with an M&E contractor or in the M&E division of a main contractorProven ability to estimate costs and timescales accurately in order to meet deadlines

£30,000 - £60,000 (DOE)
