Downer Energy and Utilities is seeking a new Electrical & Mechanical Estimators to join our growing new project on an 8/6 roster DIDO on work hours.

The Opportunity

To support project estimating function through the effective management of Downer’s estimating. This role will be reporting directly to the Site Manager on a casual basis. 

What we are looking for 

Estimating experience across all aspects of the electrical &mechanical and instrumentation industries in both construction, service and maintenance sectors5+ years of experience in an estimating roleStrong Technical and operational electrical Knowledge baseEnd-to-end estimating process, ensuring accurate and competitive costingsIdentify and manage risks, ensuring all proposals align with company policies and market competitivenessBuild and nurture strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliersWell-developed organisational skills – including written and oral communication.Strong negotiation skillsA sound commercial knowledge and understanding of the financial requirements of the deployment processesA positive attitude and commitment towards providing a high quality of serviceSkilled in relevant customer software systemsSkilled in word processing spreadsheets and other software use / access as required
