Job Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician responsible for updating and commissioning tooling equipment for an automotive manufacturing company. This role focuses on ensuring the quality and functionality of tooling equipment within the manufacturing setting.
ResponsibilitiesCheck and test machines to ensure they meet quality standards.Support the disassembly or decommissioning of outdated machines.Determine and order required parts for tooling equipment.Assist the manufacturing team in various projects as needed.Complete any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.Essential SkillsExperience with mechanical equipment and tooling assembly.Proficiency in using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), particularly Calypso – Zeiss.Ability to read and interpret prints and drawings.Knowledge and use of basic hand tools.Basic problem-solving skills.Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.Additional Skills & QualificationsBasic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft products.Basic inspection skills.Flexibility to work daily overtime, including weekends.Work Environment
This position offers a short-term opportunity with the potential to become long-term for the right candidate. The role may require daily overtime and weekend work. The work environment involves hands-on interaction with mechanical equipment and tooling, requiring a practical understanding of assembly and quality inspection processes.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
