About Smart Infrastructure – Electrification and Automation:

The Electrification and Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing into our Future Grids portfolio and applications to create the power distribution grid of the future. We are looking for a Team Lead - Mechanical Engineering - LV MCC. This position will be based in Wendell, NC. Relocation assistance is available.

We are seeking a highly qualified and energetic candidate for our Low voltage Motor control center engineering team. We pride ourselves on creating a diverse and engaging environment for engineers to quickly develop practical design experience working directly on customer orders.

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist with onboarding, mentoring, and training new Mechanical Engineers (MEs) and interns. Oversee the scheduling of tasks for the MEs within the team. Lead initiatives to enhance team processes and tools, aiming to increase overall efficiency and quality. Serve as the primary contact for technical escalations from the factory and customers. Approximately 30-50% of the time will be spent on normal Order Engineering tasks related to order execution, with the remaining time focused on team lead responsibilities.

Basic Qualifications:

5+ years of proven experience working with the design/configuration of LV Motor Control Centers. This position is within the LV team and will be filled exclusively by internal candidates. Strong emotional intelligence, and excellent people and soft skills Strong work ethic and willing to do what it takes to get the job done. Expert level proficiency in 2D and 3D design with a demonstrated ability to share knowledge and mentoring junior engineers. Proven track record of innovative thinking and process improvement. Must be in or willing to relocate to the Raleigh/Wendell, NC area.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency working with SAP or similar MRP/ERP systems. Proficiency working with complex engineering BOMs “Bill of Materials.”

The pay range for this position is $82,320 - $141,120 annually with a target incentive of 5% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
