Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Lead the activities of a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and technicians to prepare the tools, systems and processes necessary to introduce new products into the manufacturing production environment.
2. For your team's assigned projects, own all aspects of project management, including gathering information, planning, assigning tasks, coordinating with partners and reporting results. Ensure that all required output is delivered on time and meeting specifications, quality objectives and cost constraints.
3. Clearly define the processes, tools, metrics and standards your team will follow to accomplish their goals. Hold employees accountable for performance. Align processes with other Manufacturing Operations groups. Continuously improve processes, tools, metrics and standards.
4. Write specifications to Manufacturing partners for the development and creation of the tools, hardware and processes necessary for manufacturing the new products.
5. Provide design for manufacturability and design for test direction to Research and Development with respect to design concepts and specify requirements to make best use of known equipment and processes.
6. Communicate with Production partners to gather input, build consensus and establish support for new tools and processes.
7. Encourage the professional development of the employees on your team. Establish training needs for all employees and oversee new employee training.
8. Apply the 'Understand, Create, Simplify' policy to problems and challenges, demonstrate SEL values, and teach employees to do the same.
9. Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

Required Qualifications
B.S. in Engineering or equivalent skills and experience
Two years of relevant leadership experience including project management
Five years of experience in manufacturing engineering, manufacturing test engineering or other relevant field
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Background check results satisfactory to SEL
Negative drug test result(s)
Preferred Qualifications
B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
Experience with programming or scripting languages
Experience with electronic manufacturing systems and machinery
Experience with Engineering Change Order Processes
Experience with new product introduction processes
