Humans crave information, and we live in an era where digital information—entertainment, news, education, social networking, and much more—is readily available. Tainan Display Lab (TDL) plays a strategic role in employing deep display expertise to enable the next generation of displays. It is the world’s first combined display equipment manufacturing facility and R&D laboratory. The laboratory assists display manufacturers in transforming their ideas into reality and paving the way for the next generation of displays. TDL plays a key role in advancing improvements such as image resolution and quality, size increases, and new form factors as the display industry has evolved from CRTs to LCDs, and now to OLED. These innovations, along with reduced costs, have enabled new products and driven the proliferation of displays that create dynamic and stunning visual experiences for consumers. The facility, which occupies approximately 5.1 hectares, includes two cleanrooms and a laboratory. It is located close to customers in the Tainan Science Park, providing fast support to our display customers throughout Asia. **Key Responsibilities** + Plan and execute PECVD chamber component and system development, utilizing expertise in thermal, flow, structural, chemical, and RF plasma engineering. + Address complex problems by integrating knowledge from various domains and coordinating projects with cross-functional teams. + Design, develop, and implement custom mechanical tooling, fixtures, and processes to facilitate the handling, assembly, and disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies throughout the product lifecycle. + Establish Best Known Methods (BKM) designs for future tool implementation to optimize functionality, manufacturability, and quality assurance. + Serve as the primary point of contact for field and quality issues related to assigned components. **Preferred Skills** + Proficiency in FEA/simulation for structural, flow, and thermal analysis. + Hands on design experience with 3D/2D design tools (Inventor/AutoCAD) + Practical experience with CVD processes and expertise in CVD vacuum and chamber design. + Great Place to Work as a Mechanical Engineer at Applied Taiwan + Collaborate with the most talented and brilliant mechanical experts globally who will challenge you and push you out of your comfort zone + Design and develop the chamber system of the next generation, playing a pioneering role in the high-tech industry + Solve high-value problems and commercialize your creative engineering proposals _Applied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
