At least 5 years’ design experience on Rail/Loco/Train domainMake a basic concept in 3D-model using CATIA V5 based on information given by team leadOrganizes Design / Verification reviews with internal & external teamVerification in function of the feasibility and production-requirements Adjust the basic concept in function of the Design Review information Finalize the 3D-model in detailPosition the model in the car structureTransfer of the model to Designer for Validation Update the designer remarks in the modelMake the 2D-drawings based on the validated 3D-modelMake the parts lists and the specifications and article creation in EPR-systemCheck whether the files are complete and technically and administratively correctDaily report to the Concept team coordinator about the progress of the project and possible problems Applies basic engineering design principles on each project activityConduct self and team’s internal quality checks to ensure defect free deliverables

Work Experience
Knowledge on rolling stock design/Loco CAB Design / Train interiors DesignAbility to independently develop detailed conceptsAbility to perform hand calculation / analysis to just the proposed design Ability to support for validation of assemblies, various installations on Loco CAB Design / Train interiors DesignAbility to define component and assemblies of sub-systems as per manufacturing & assembly conceptsKnowledge on Tolerance stack-up analysis and recommend feasible solutions in accordance with manufacturing capabilitiesAbility to analyse and propose retrofit solution for existing design modifications Capable of selecting appropriate fasteners for various assembliesGood drawing reading skills and dimensioning standardWell versed with GD&THands-on experience on CATIA V5 and PLM platform like Enovia to create 3D models, 2D drawings and product structure Knowledge on manufacturing processes Knowledge of material properties, heat treatment and surface coatingKnowledge on Rail industry standards for various regions
