Our client, a leader in the engineering sector, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting various operational teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully within the organization.
**Job Title:** Mechanical Engineer
**Location:** Alberta (Calgary, or Edmonton, or Fort McMurray)
Schedule 7x7
**What's the Job?**
+ Conduct field walkdowns to assess mechanical systems and equipment.
+ Develop piping scopes, drawings, and bills of materials (BOM) for various projects.
+ Respond to RFIs and technical questions from operations, supply chain, and vendors.
+ Support root cause analysis (RCA) investigations and implement corrective actions.
+ Prepare Statements of Work (SOWs) for shutdowns, lifts, and spool changes.
**What's Needed?**
+ Practicing P.Eng. accreditation with APEGGA in good standing.
+ 5-10 years of experience in Primary Extraction or Tailings Operations.
+ Strong understanding of mechanical systems and engineering principles.
+ Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
+ Experience in developing and managing MOCs for various tailings operations.
