Job Description
This role involves working with advanced technologies in heat transfer, material systems, and manufacturability, focusing primarily on a 1.6T optical transceiver product. The position extends into photonic packaging, dealing with compact devices integrated into larger modules for specialized applications. Designs are high-density, requiring precision, creativity, and a deep understanding of mechanical and photonic integration.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop high-density PCB enclosures using CREO/Solidworks with a minimum of 5 years of experience.Implement thermal management solutions for optical transceivers and ensure manufacturability.Conduct tolerance analysis and interference checks using 3D CAD and Finite Element Analysis.Lead mechanical engineering projects with a focus on new product development and engineering for telecom applications.Mentor less experienced engineers and lead cross-functional design reviews.Communicate effectively in English and collaborate as part of a global team.Assess project risks and articulate them while developing project milestones in a stage-gate process (PLCQ).Essential SkillsProficiency in CREO/Solidworks for designing high-density PCB enclosures.Experience in thermal management, mechanical design, and design for manufacturability.Detailed knowledge of industry regulatory and safety standards.Experience in developing high complexity projects with competencies in tolerance analysis and serviceability.Additional Skills & QualificationsMechanical Engineering Degree (BSME/MSME/PhD or equivalent experience).8+ years of experience in mechanical design and/or verification.Ability to influence others and share best practices.Work Environment
The position operates during regular business hours in a climate-controlled office environment, with occasional additional hours as needed. Travel requirements include domestic and/or global travel up to 20%. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
