Job Description

Join a dynamic field engineering team as a Mechanical Engineer, specializing in providing technical solutions for large industrial equipment. This position involves traveling to customer sites to observe, survey, and analyze equipment, ensuring optimal alignment and functionality.

ResponsibilitiesConduct alignment surveys and vibration analysis on industrial equipment.Evaluate and measure equipment performance for process optimization.Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide solutions.Work with kiln systems, grinding systems, and general capital equipment.Participate in precise laser alignment surveys and combustion systems analysis.Engage in heat transfer and process calculations, 3D printed material flow modeling, and complex engineering problem-solving.Essential SkillsDegree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills.Proficiency in engineering evaluations and analysis, including heat transfer and thermodynamics.Experience with vibration analysis and finite element analysis (FEA).Customer service skills with the ability to make a great first impression.Additional Skills & QualificationsOpen to traveling 80% of the time, with a readiness to learn.Ability to thrive in a hands-on environment.Strong mathematical skills.Passport for international travel.Work Environment

This role requires extensive travel, primarily within the US, with some international trips to Canada or South America. The schedule is flexible, allowing for varied workdays and travel durations. The position demands maturity and personal accountability, as you will be responsible for completing reports and documents independently. Expect a hands-on experience, working closely with industrial equipment, and enjoy the freedom to work remotely when not on a job.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $26.44/hr.
