Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Engineer, where you will engage in a varied and dynamic workload that encompasses multiple aspects of engineering and project management. This role involves collaborating with both internal and external teams, as well as focusing on technical design and testing work to support new and existing product development.
ResponsibilitiesCreate and update detailed engineering and assembly drawings for new and existing products.Prepare comprehensive technical design packages, including component and assembly drawings, installation drawings, service bulletins, and engineering test specifications and reports.Create test plans and execute a variety of tests.Assist with documentation and creation of Bill of Materials (BOMs).Conduct engineering analysis and simulations on component and product designs.Perform tolerance and geometric studies of parts and assemblies to ensure they meet design specifications.Facilitate testing of new products and analyze field failures to resolve technical issues.Coordinate with engineering teams and other departments to ensure product quality and adherence to project timelines.Act as a liaison between project leaders and outside customers.Ensure compliance with AS9100 standards and regulations, working closely with Quality Assurance/Quality Control teams.Essential SkillsSolidWorks design experience and proficiency in GD&T.Experience with mechanical engineering roles, involving design and development of mechanical systems.Proficiency in engineering analysis and simulations.Well-rounded product development experience involving creation of test plans and execution of tests, gathering data, etc.Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude, with a high preference for a background with engines (combustion, 2-stroke, 4-stroke) via hobby, automotive club, or professional.Excellent communication skills and a positive take-charge attitude.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.3+ years professional post-academic experience, with 5-7+ years ideal.Experience with drawing packages and work instructions.Familiarity with wire harnesses.Experience in environmental testing and new product development.Drafting and CAD skills.Work Environment
You will work in a lively and flexible environment, spending time between the floor and desk with the engineering team. The role requires on-site presence 4 days a week, with somewhat flexible scheduling. The office has a friendly, family feel, with dogs allowed, holiday parties, and a casual dress code including jeans.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
