Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Engineer, where you will enhance existing designs and develop new ones. Your role will involve preparing 3D models for mechanical parts and providing technical support to clients.
You will create engineering drawings for manufacturing, complete BOMs, and proposal drawings for customer approval.
Developing prototypes and testing new designs are integral parts of your role, along with occasional travel to customer manufacturing plants to gather information and liaise with manufacturing and design teams.
You will design cutting tools for the pipe industry, including special inserts, chip breakers, cartridges, tool holders, and boring bars, as well as tools for the bending industry such as bending dies, clamp dies, pressure dies, wiper dies, and mandrels.
Identifying issues with tooling and piping will be part of your responsibilities.

The work environment is primarily office-based, with an unused manufacturing facility attached to the building. You will be expected to collaborate with manufacturing teams during customer site visits. The team consists of six engineers. This role offers some flexibility for working from home, with 1-2 days per week once established in the position. Occasional travel is required, approximately 10% of the time, depending on customer projects. This opportunity provides hands-on experience and mentorship, as it is a backfill for a retiring individual. You will work alongside the existing Mechanical Engineer ensuring a strong foundation and ample room to grow.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $41.00/hr.
