Kforce has an enterprise client seeking a Mechanical Engineer V in Redmond, WA. Summary: We're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to lead yield improvement and root cause analysis. As the Mechanical Engineer, you will be directly responsible for failure root cause and analysis, production process development and improvement of a key module on our next generation spacecraft. You'll be the leading technical voice for a team of manufacturing engineers working on the product, solving challenging technical problems associated with delivering an ultra-high-performing optical, electrical, and mechatronic module to space. Responsibilities: * Serve as a technical lead on failure analysis and non-conformance management * Drive yield improvement through process change * Support operations team directly by being a high solving power engineer, capable of bringing multiple diverging technical perspectives together in high pressure escalation moments such as quality containments Normal day: * 75% of time will be spent on-the production floor working with technician teams to solve all types of technical blockers, from test report reviews, defect material triage, ERP blockers, etc. * 25% of time will be spent performing independent development work such as performing data analysis on disturbances, improving troubleshoot documentation, etc.
