Job Description
We are seeking a creative Mechanical Design Engineer to join our mechanical structures team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing components for the flagship Horizon tracker, ensuring adaptability to diverse environments, challenging site conditions, and achieving cost reduction.
ResponsibilitiesDesign components for the flagship Horizon tracker.Ensure designs support a wide range of environments and site conditions.Focus on cost reduction in design processes.Work collaboratively with suppliers to meet product specifications.Test and validate designs prior to mass production.Essential SkillsProficiency in Solidworks or other strong CAD programs.Experience with high volume metal design.Design for Manufacturing (DFM) expertise.Experience in design from conception to mass production.Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design.Test fixture design experience.Root cause analysis (RCA).Ansys proficiency.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Solar or renewable energy.Familiarity with Confluence, Arena, Real Time board, Jira.Work Environment
The position offers a hybrid work schedule with three days per week onsite (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) and remote work on Wednesday and Friday. The work environment is dynamic with a fluid development cycle, providing engineers with significant opportunities to influence processes. The company values the input of engineers, allowing them to test and prove their designs. Catered lunches are provided twice per week.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $79.32/hr.
