Job Description
We are seeking a creative Mechanical Design Engineer to join our mechanical structures team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing components for the flagship Horizon tracker, ensuring support for diverse environments, challenging site conditions, and cost reduction.
ResponsibilitiesDesign components for the Horizon tracker.Support a wider range of environments and site conditions.Focus on cost reduction in design.Collaborate with suppliers to meet product specifications.Engage in high volume manufacturing with an emphasis on cost control.Test and validate designs before mass production.Essential SkillsProficiency in Solidworks.Experience with sheet metal, casting, and high volume mechanical design.Design for Manufacturing (DFM) expertise.Experience from conception to mass production.Minimum of 3 years of experience.Test fixture design and root cause analysis.Familiarity with Ansys.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in solar or renewable energy.Knowledge of Confluence, Arena, and Jira.Work Environment
The work environment includes a hybrid work schedule with four days per week on-site and one day at home, typically Friday. Lunch is catered twice a week. The development cycle is dynamic and fluid, offering engineers a significant role in developing processes. Engineers are encouraged to innovate, test, and validate their designs, ensuring their voices are heard.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $79.32/hr.
