Job Description A large aerospace and defense client of Insight Global is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Grand Rapids, Michigan for a six-month contract. This person will be responsible for creating detailed Mechanical Definition Drawings (MDD), supporting efforts on packaging designs for electronic components, performing thermal and structural analysis to ensure designs meet specifics, and conducting component stress analysis. They will also assist in material selection and BOM creation. Compensation: $40.00/hr Exact Compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Skills and Requirements Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering  3+ years of experience in mechanical design  Strong experience with CAD software (Siemens NX preferred but not required), thermal management, and structural analysis  Experience with engineering simulation software used for Finite Element analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Multiphysics (ANSYS preferred but not required) Experience with PTC Mathcad, Siemens NX 2312, PTC Windchill, ANSYS 2022R2  Aerospace or defense background null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
