Job Description

  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Designs, develops, analyzes, troubleshoots and provides technical skills during product developmentConducts minor projects and plans method of approachReviews project progress and evaluates resultsRecommends corrections in technical applications.  Specifies materials, equipment and supplies required for completion of technical projectsEvaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or servicesUses professional concepts; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issuesWorks on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factorsExercises judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actionHas internal and some external contacts.  Normally receives general instructions on routing work, detail instructions on new projects or assignments

Education and Experience:

BS or MS Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering2-4 years in a mechanical design role

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

SolidWorks 3D CAD experience or equivalent, Familiarity with production methodsBasic finite element analysisAbility to work independently
