Mechanical Designer
Now Hiring: Mechanical Designer!Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Designer, where you will be responsible for plant layout and equipment design, focusing on life safety, HVAC systems, plumbing, piping, gas, and fire sprinkler systems for capital expansion projects and renovations of existing facilities. Utilize Plant3D and AutoCAD to tackle diverse projects, including pet food plants, chemical plants, and food & beverage facilities.

ResponsibilitiesCreate detailed plant and equipment layouts using Plant3D and AutoCAD.Perform in-house mechanical design, including life safety, HVAC systems, plumbing, piping, gas, and fire sprinkler systems.Design process piping, select equipment, and prepare material lists and contract documents.Review drawings and provide preliminary design documents such as conceptual designs, technical specifications, and site plans.Collaborate with clients on-site to execute projects efficiently.Essential SkillsMinimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, particularly in food and beverage.Proficiency in Plant3D, AutoCAD 2D, and Microsoft Office.Ability to execute plant layout design and develop detailed design documents for construction packages.Experience in MEP dust collection and conveyor design.Associate's degree in design and drafting.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Navisworks is preferred.Strong working relationships with customers, contractors, fabricators, and vendors.Experience in Food & Beverage, Agricultural, Mineral Processing, and Power Industries.Ability to independently organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail.Work Environment

The office is located in the vibrant Regency District of central Omaha, offering easy access to the Dodge Expressway and interstate. Enjoy proximity to shopping and popular dining locations. The position is primarily in-office, with occasional site visits for 3D laser scanning. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
