Job Title: Mechanical Designer
Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to support New Product Development and Innovation programs. In this role, you will design test fixtures, execute test plans, analyze data, and produce clear test reports. Additionally, you will provide mechanical support on prototypes and pilot builds. The ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical skills and is an independent self-starter.

ResponsibilitiesDesign test fixtures for new product development.Execute comprehensive test plans and analyze resulting data.Produce clear and detailed test reports.Provide mechanical support on prototypes and pilot builds.Collaborate on design for manufacturability and support brand new development projects.Launch projects through manufacturing, incorporating multiple cycles of learning.Essential SkillsAssociate degree in Mechanical Engineering.10+ years of experience within the Mechanical Design industry.7-10+ years of experience in Sheet Metal design, including weldments, framing, enclosures, and chassis.Experience in New Product Development and design for manufacturability.Proficiency in Solidworks.Experience in launching projects through manufacturing.Additional Skills & QualificationsMachine Design Experience or prior OEM experience.Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.Work Environment

This role is set in a manufacturing environment within a newly renovated facility. The company promotes a great culture with regular company outings.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Wheeling, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $48.00/hr.
