Mechanical Designer

Description

\t\t\t\t\t

- Subject matter expert in the design, assembly and debugging of new production tooling and equipment- Optimize current production tooling and equipment.- Develop and implement equipment and tooling design and organization standards.- Estimate production costs, efficiencies, cost saving methods, and the effects of tooling/equipment design changes on cost and efficiency.- Document current installed tooling and equipment base.- Support and comply with Cretex Medical Quality System, ISO 13485 and when required medical device requirements.- Monitor the utilization of employee safety and OE programs- Support and comply with the company’s Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements- Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work- Partner with the other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance- Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve- Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly- Participate in the Operational Excellence Program- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment

- 2 year Design related degree- Experience: 3 years- Working knowledge of mechanical parts as well as computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks- CNC programming knowledge a plus- Able to work mechanically and troubleshoot equipment- Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)- Hands on experience with typical tool room / machine shop equipment.- Able to work in dynamic environment and manage iterative design & fabrication processes.- Continuing Education; including participation in local chapters, associations, and/or organizations

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $72000.00/yr.
