Job Title: Mechanical Designer

Job Description

As a Mechanical Designer, you will create detailed mechanical designs for cosmetic displays using CAD software. You will develop innovative solutions for plastic injection molding and sheet metal fabrication, ensuring that designs meet aesthetic, functional, and manufacturability requirements. Your expertise in plastic injection molding processes will be crucial in designing cost-effective and manufacturable components, while your application of sheet metal fabrication techniques will contribute to the creation of durable and visually appealing display structures.

ResponsibilitiesConduct feasibility studies and material selection for new projects.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, and quality assurance, to maintain design intent throughout the manufacturing process.Communicate effectively with suppliers and manufacturers to resolve technical issues and optimize production processes.Implement design changes based on test results and feedback from stakeholders.Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for production.Maintain accurate records of design iterations and project progress.Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical design, specifically in plastic injection molding (must have) and sheet metal fabrication.Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Familiarity with PDM and knowledge of GD&T.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in tooling/fixtures is a strong advantage.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
