Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team in Chesapeake, VA. This role involves utilizing AutoCAD and Revit to perform mechanical and plumbing design for a variety of projects including multifamily, K-12, municipal, mixed-use, and city supportive developments. You will coordinate with architects and clients, calculate load qualifications, and work effectively within a team environment alongside drafters and engineers.

ResponsibilitiesUtilize AutoCAD and Revit for mechanical/plumbing design on multifamily, K-12, municipal, mixed-use, and city supportive projects.Coordinate with architects and clients to ensure project requirements are met.Calculate load qualifications using Revit and AutoCAD.Collaborate effectively with team members including drafters and engineers.Essential SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.5-10 years of experience in mechanical/plumbing design with an AEC firm.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in plumbing design.EIT certification is a plus.Work Environment

The position is based in our Chesapeake office, where you will work in a small, family-oriented environment of 12-15 people. Our office offers a laid-back atmosphere that encourages creative thinking, without micro-management. You will collaborate with Revit/CAD techs, MEP designers, and MEP engineers on projects spanning Hampton Roads, Virginia Beach, Richmond, and the Outer Banks. Office hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a business casual dress code.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $80000.00/hr.
