Job Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with over six years of experience in mechanical tool installation. The role involves designing and engineering general, mechanical, and process systems specifically for semiconductor tool installations, varying from simple to highly complex projects across a diverse client base in the semiconductor industry. Your deliverables will include comprehensive construction drawing packages that feature schematic diagrams, facility data tables, plan views, and detailed drawings.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and engineer mechanical and process systems for semiconductor tool installations.Perform calculations to size piping and ductwork for mechanical, process, drain, and exhaust systems.Evaluate and validate existing lateral and facility point of connection infrastructure.Lead efforts to organize tool utility requirements including connection points, flowrates, and pressure specifications.Conduct field verification of existing site conditions to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.Collaborate with multidisciplinary design team members and clients to align project goals and technical requirements.Actively participate in client design review meetings and present technical concepts clearly.Provide services during construction such as field verification, site observation reports, and responses to RFIs.Essential SkillsStrong understanding of mechanical systems including process, exhaust, and plumbing systems in semiconductor facilities.Ability to independently produce accurate and complete design drawings.Understanding of mechanical, fire, plumbing, and building code requirements applicable to semiconductor facilities.Proactive in identifying conflicts or deficiencies and proposing viable solutions.Ensure design packages are complete, accurate, and adhere to client standards.Good communication and teamwork skills.Technical writing ability.Highly organized with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.Interest in professional growth and ability to quickly learn new concepts.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with advanced technology and industrial clients is preferred.Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.BSME or equivalent degree from an accredited university.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $55.00/hr.
