The Mechanical Design Engineer will play a key role in the design, development and maintenance of Resideo water products, including water filters, backflow preventers, pressure reduction valves, thermo-mixing valves and others. 

You will be responsible for the development of mechanical parts/products as well as the creation of technical documentation.

 

JOB DUTIES: 

Design and development of parts and products produced by various manufacturing technologies - injection molding, casting, forging and others Creation of 3D models and technical documentation Defining inputs for strength analysis of parts and systems, thermal analysis of parts and systems Designing and building prototypes and performing functional tests Preparing Bill of Materials and managing technical documentation (Engineering Change Request/Order process) Estimating component and product loading Technical management of projects from first design to production Technical support in negotiations with DFM component suppliers

 

YOU MUST HAVE:  

Working knowledge of 3D CAD system Knowledge of manufacturing technologies from metals to plastics and rubber Knowledge of maintaining drawings and informing the production department of changes Implementation of prototypes English language (B2 level)

Potable water mechanical design experience (not essential) Knowledge of product certification process Knowledge of potable water standards and certification needs (not essential) Experience in 3D CAD Creo and data management (not essential) Thinking out of the box and bringing your own ideas and solutions Ability to work in a team as well as individually Willingness to travel (especially for training) German language basics is a plus
