Our Mechanical Engineers participate in the design, development, and test of electronic equipment and integration kits for communication systems on military aircraft and transportable platforms. The selected candidate will learn to work closely with Systems, Electrical, and Manufacturing staff to assure defined requirements are consistently met in all phases of a product’s lifecycle. Collins takes great pride in how our products are making our country safer, and we want you to join us if you’re as motivated and passionate about that mission as we are. **Primary** **Responsibilities:** + Participate in design and development activities, including implementation of specifications and development of performance or maintenance requirements.Learn engineering design processes to contribute to designs for components, parts, subassemblies, and assemblies. + May perform analyses (thermal, structural, etc) to evaluate design function, cost effectiveness, and requirements adherence. + Work with designers and drafters to create, modify, and release documentation such as part and assembly drawings. + Participate in the execution of tests for systems, subsystems, and components. The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
