We are looking for an energetic and skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our EMEA Capital Engineering team, based at our Grindsted site (formerly DuPont Nutrition and Bioscience). We are responsible for driving the capital expenditure process and executing a yearly project portfolio of approximately 700 million DKK.
As our new Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be the primary point of contact for the mechanical design of process equipment, layouts, platforms, and more - across both small- and large-scale projects. Furthermore, you will act as a mentor and delegate drawing services to our external partners.Your Responsibilities
3D modelling of plant components, including P&ID drawings, 2D detail drawings, assembly drawings, etc.
Ownership of the development and maintenance of our CAD software.
Ownership of the 3D scanner and support for the project team in this area.
Ownership of the documentation structure in Vault.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to a dynamic environment.
Close collaboration with project teams, leads and project managers.
Act as a mentor for external CAD designers and serve as our internal CAD administrator.
Job RequirementsTo succeed in this role, you must be able to navigate a complex organization, balancing different agendas and cultural perspectives. In addition, you should demonstrate:
A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Preferably, broad knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Automation).
Strong experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer.
Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault.
Experience with plant design is an advantage.
Familiarity with process engineering is an advantage.
Experience with 3D scanning (e.g., Faro scanner) is an advantage.
