As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will assist in planning, developing, and coordinating engineering projects, ensuring they meet personnel needs and schedules. You will serve as a product line specialist and engineering expert for assigned projects, acting as a technical consultant and assisting with solution presentations and site performance demonstrations.
ResponsibilitiesPerform as a staff advisor and consultant on technical specialties, equipment, or program functions.Achieve all assigned project tasks and objectives within established strategies, ensuring functionality and meeting specifications.Ensure project tasks assigned to others are completed within budget, schedule, and priority.Conduct engineering design reviews to ensure fit, function, and accuracy.Recommend changes in methods and procedures to improve project completion or engineering processes.Keep leaders informed on the status of assigned projects with timely updates and alternate plan suggestions.Follow up with other departments on project tasks to ensure critical items are completed within needed timelines.
Essential Skills5+ years of machine design experience1+ year of Solidworks experienceExperience with sheet metal designBackground in manufacturing of partsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Associates with relevant experience considered)

Work Environment
This position is entirely desk-based, focusing on design work for new machines within an R&D setting. Work is conducted 100% on-site at the Covington, KY location, with flexible hours within standard business hours. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
