Job Description
We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing innovative design solutions for various projects, creating new products and enhancing existing ones. The engineer will coordinate with multiple departments to deliver on project objectives and support production activities.
Responsibilities Include:
• Provide innovative design solutions for a wide variety of project types.
• Creates new products and/or product enhancements to existing products.
• Delivers on the project objectives while coordinating designs with product marketing, customer service, production, supply chain, accounting and other engineers and departments.
• Support production activities at the production manufacturing location.
• Keep current with technical advancements and worldwide regulations / standards.
• Ability to manage large scale projects from cradle to grave
Must Have
- 5+ years experience of design experience with 3D cad modeling
- 3+ years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Engineering knowledge to evaluate test results to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications
- Experience evaluating and solving design related issues that arise within manufacturing and/or production assembly
- Excellent communication skills and proven experience interacting with other groups to finalize product specifications
- A disciplined, motivational personality who is also self-motivated, results oriented, and capable of sustained and continuous effort
- Hands-on approach and mechanical aptitude
- Pride and commitment to accuracy, detail, and well thought out designs
- Thorough and consistent documentation habits paired with excellent organizational and management skills
- The ability to work effectively within our fast-paced product design team
Nice to Have
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Sheet metal design experience
- Creo design experience
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.87 - $50.58/hr.
