Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description

Join our team as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where you will engage in both 3D design and lab testing, contributing to innovative projects within a culture that values technology and collaboration.

ResponsibilitiesPerform 50% of tasks in 3D design and 50% in lab testing.Develop and test mechanical assignments that are part of larger projects.Document specific mechanical functionalities during tests.Conduct tests designed by experienced engineers and analyze results.Perform root cause analyses to identify and solve problems.Provide recommendations and implement solutions for complex issues, ensuring compliance with quality standards.Upgrade existing mechanical designs and improve technologies for new solutions.Enhance team performance and productivity through recommendations.Receive general instructions on routine work and new projects.Build productive working relationships internally and externally.Engage in intra-organizational and occasional inter-organizational and external customer communications on routine matters.Essential SkillsExperience with ProE/Creo design and drafting in industrial and consumer electronics or opto-electronic products is a MUST HAVESolidWorks experience.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2-5 years of product design experience in optoelectronic industrial electronic product industries.Experience in CNC machining, die cast, and sheet metal part/assembly design.Experience with GD&T.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with 3D printing.Experience with injection molded plastic.Experience working with ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) and JDM (Joint Duty Manufacturing).Work Environment

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
