Job Description

Develops and tests on a variety of mechanical assignments that constitute a portion of a larger project.Tests documentation which describes the specific mechanical functionality.Runs tests designed by more experienced engineers.Reviews test results and perform root cause analyses to identify problems.Provides recommendations and implements solutions to complex issues. Insures compliance with quality process and standards.Makes changes to or upgrades existing mechanical designs. Enhances and improves existing technologies to apply to new solutions.Makes and implements recommendations to immediate team to enhance performance and improve productivity.Receives general instructions on routine work, new projects or assignments.Builds productive working relationships internally and externally.Primary intra-organizational with occasional inter-organizational and external customer contacts on routine matters.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

MUST HAVE 1: Experience in ProE/Creo design and drafting applied to industrial and consumer electronics or opto-electronic products.

MUST HAVE 2: Solidworks experience

MUST HAVE 3: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years of product design experience in Optoelectronic industrial electronic product industries.

MUST HAVE 4: Experience in CNC Machining, injection molded plastic, die cast, and sheet metal part/assembly design

NICE TO HAVE 1: Experience with 3D printing

NICE TO HAVE 2: Experience with GD&T and DFM

NICE TO HAVE 3: Experience working with ODM (Original Design Manufacturing), and JDM (Joint Duty Manufacturing)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
