Job Description
Insight Global is searching for a Mechanical Coordinator in Oklahoma City. The Mechanical Coordinator serves as the primary on-site representative for the Owner to ensure the EPC Contractor’s mechanical systems are executed in alignment with project scope, schedule, quality, and safety standards. This role involves daily field oversight of mechanical construction activities such as equipment installation, welding, inspections, and testing. The coordinator documents progress through detailed daily site reports using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint, including photo logs and activity tracking. They also manage LOTO coordination, sign off on mechanical work plans, and support quality inspections.
Weekly responsibilities include validating contractor performance, assessing commissioning schedules and contingency plans, reviewing mechanical submittals, and reporting on earned value and construction progress. The coordinator actively participates in daily and weekly project meetings, interfaces with outage and startup teams, and supports the construction manager and project manager in achieving overall project success. Strong communication skills, technical proficiency in Microsoft tools, and experience in power generation or heavy industrial projects are essential.

Skills and Requirements
- 10+ years of experience with installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems - ideally within power generation or heavy industrial projects
- Prior experience working for an owner on an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, & Construction) project
- Ability to read & interpret P&IDs, site plans, equipment layout, one-line diagrams and other construction drawings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced skills like formulas, charts, pivot tables), Outlook, Word, and Teams.
- Experience with SharePoint, OneDrive, and document control systems.
- Ability to annotate images or PDFs using tools like Snipping Tool, Adobe, or Paint.
- Familiarity with scheduling tools such as MS Project or Primavera P6 viewer. - Familiarity with simple/combined cycle gas turbines, especially GE 7FA.05 and GE/PES LM6000. null
