Job Description

As a Mechanical CAD Design Engineer Intern, you will assist engineering in product design and development. You will support the engineering team with product development tasks such as Design Sketch, ECR creation, and prototyping.

Develop 2D and 3D modeling of HVAC equipment in CAD systems (NX/AutoCad/Solid Works)Develop basic details and assembly drawings for products and equipment.Create Drawings for Legacy products -Reverse ENGBill Of Material development and maintaining.Proactively identify and address product design issues that adversely affect production or product operation.Document and maintain Tech product data.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in engineering disciplines (Mechanical preferred)Minimum GPA of 3.0This will be an onsite, 6 months to yearlong, internship. Understanding of engineering fundamentals.Excellent oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsTest prototypes and write reports to document resultsKnowledge of CAD (NX, Pro-E, AutoCAD or other packages)Ability to develop basic detail and assembly drawings for products and equipmentAbility to perform mechanical design calculationsAbility to perform basic design modificationsOwnership to resolve technical problems or prompt response to address issues and escalate as neededBe a team player within cross function teams, understand multidiscipline needs (engineering, marketing, assembly, logistics, purchasing,etc.Proficient with hands on skills (cutting, forming, fabricating, brazing, welding)Proficient in Microsoft OfficeStrong organizational skills
