Job Description
Join a team building the leading innovative product that is the future of electric motors for data centers! The Assembly Technician will work closely with a team of 5-10 manufacturing/test technicians to perform the testing, inspection, and packaging of these cutting-edge motors, roughly 15-20 per day. The role may include assembly of test stands as well.
ResponsibilitiesPlace motor onto test stand for testing process.Monitor test and remove from stand once complete.Connect motor to small crane to deliver to next stage of process.Conduct visual inspection of components to ensure satisfactory condition.Use screwdriver to assemble VFD cover back onto motor.Utilize banding tool to band together for packing.Package motor for shipment.Essential SkillsAssembly and mechanical skills.Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.Mechanically inclined with ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds.Strong attention to detail.Ownership attitude and high initiative, able to work self-sufficiently without fully spelled-out processes.Additional Skills & Qualifications1-2+ years of recent work experience using hand and power tools to assemble a large product/device.Experience working within a start-up or R&D environment.Soldering experience.Troubleshooting or testing experience.Experience with electric motors.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work shifts are Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm, with rare overtime. The environment is clean and air-conditioned, offering a nice break room with free coffee, refrigerated beverages, and snacks. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Round Rock, Texas.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
