**$1,500 sign-on bonus!** Coperion is currently seeking a **Mechanical Assembler** **(Custom Machine Assembly)** to support our location in Whitewater, WI. This is not a standard production assembly line position. You will be building different equipment each day. There is a lot of room for growth into other disciplines if desired! We have a 5S environment, very clean production floor and great people to work with! **Schedule: 1st shift Monday-Thursday 6am-3pm & Friday 6am - Noon** **Responsibilities:** + Develop a working knowledge of Coperion products, parts and part numbers, a thorough understanding of safety requirements, and build a wide variety of quality mechanical assemblies using blueprints, schematics and work orders + Interface with engineers and other manufacturing disciplines within the factory to overcome challenges and meet customer's needs + Review and follow technical drawings + Operate machines, tooling equipment, fork truck, and overhead cranes for production and assembly + Support our lean manufacturing process with 5S + Adhere to ISO 9001 company standards, work instructions and procedures **Required Education/Experience/Skills:** + High School Diploma or equivalent + 1+ year of recent mechanical aptitude experience + Strong attention to detail + Proficiency with hand tools and a strong understanding of blueprint reading are required + Ability to multitask + Basic computer knowledge preferred + Dependability a must **Benefits:** Our benefit package includes medical, dental, and vision plans, vacation/sick pay, life insurance, short & long-term disability, paid parental leave and 401k retirement plan.
