Pay Rate: $25.00/Hourly based on experience Shift Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm/Monday-Friday **Role summary:** As the Mechanic at Marcus, IA SPP Plant, you will be the key individual responsible for overseeing maintenance operations, which include building and equipment maintenance. In this role, you will be providing guidance and expertise to ensure the effective execution of maintenance tasks. Your primary focus will be on maintaining the plant's assets and infrastructure to support operational efficiency and safety. What you’ll be doing: + Lead and perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks on building and equipment within the plant. + Develop and implement maintenance plans, schedules, and preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and enhance equipment reliability. + Collaborate with other departments to prioritize maintenance activities and ensure alignment with plant goals. + Procure necessary materials, tools, and equipment for maintenance tasks while managing inventory efficiently. + Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain high-quality maintenance standards. + Provide technical guidance and training to enhance the skill set and knowledge of the maintenance team. + Monitor and analyze maintenance performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions. + Troubleshoot complex maintenance issues and apply effective problem-solving techniques. + Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts inventory. + Collaborate with vendors and suppliers for procurement and service contracts. What you bring to the table: + Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills + Effective communication and interpersonal abilities + Dedication to safety and quality + Continuous improvement mindset + Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic environment + Strong work ethic and attention to detail What’s needed- Basic Qualifications: + A high school diploma or equivalent is required + 4+ years of hands-on experience in maintenance and related fields. + Proven experience in maintenance and mechanical systems. + Proficiency in troubleshooting and repair of industrial equipment. + Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations. + Ability to work independently and effectively manage maintenance tasks. What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications: + Vocational or technical certifications in maintenance-related fields. + Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). + Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies. + Prior experience in a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
