Rates & Premiums

Will be provided a base hourly rate of $52.18/hour

Travel pay (as required)

Stand-by pay

Prescription eyewear and safety gear reimbursements

Essential Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repair of plows/sanding trucks, loaders, light support gear and heavy construction equipment

Perform CVIP inspections on trucks and trailers

Attend service calls in the field as required

Follows manufacturer and internal maintenance programs and inspection procedures

Engages and participates in Ledcor safety policies and procedures

Complete maintenance records and documentation as required

Qualifications

Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (On-Road & Off-Road)

3-5 yrs experience in a supervisory role

Experience with heavy civil construction, highway paving, or highway maintenance equipment (e.g., snowplows) is an asset

CVIP mechanic license is an asset

Must successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing

Valid Driver’s License with the ability to provide a 3-year driver’s abstract

Strong ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, including those with sketches and diagrams

Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision

Work Conditions

Work will be based in various locations across Alberta with some travel to various field operations on a limited basisApplicants residing local may be given preference due to the nature of workAs LHL is obligated to respond to various weather patterns, some shift work, on-call, and night shift will be requiredBenefits provided by CLAC (Health, Dental, RSP and Pension)
