Location: South Florida Baptist Hospital – Plant CityStatus: Full Time (non-exempt)Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PMDays: Tuesday - SaturdayThe Mechanic II is a full-time position.
Responsibilities
Performs demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of the facility equipment to primarily include Mechanical, Utilities and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital and regulatory agency codes. Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environment. May be scheduled to work various work shifts and weekends to meet the needs of the hospital not necessarily within the craft lines. May require travel to perform necessary maintenance work at other BCHS facilities. Perform other duties as assigned.Why BayCare?

Education
Required - High School or Equivalent4 years’ experience in an acute healthcare setting is acceptable in lieu of HSD/GEDCertifications and Licensure
Required - FL DLExperience
Required - 5 years as a Service-Related Technician3 Years Hospital Maintenance is preferredPreferred - 1 year high-rise mechanical or utilities systemsPreferred - Fourth-Grade Stationary Engineer's License
