Prestage Farms is seeking an experienced and dependable Mechanic with a solid background in diagnostics to join our Prestage team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with general mechanical expertise who also excels at troubleshooting and resolving complex issues in both gasoline and diesel vehicles. You’ll be responsible for a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks, with an emphasis on identifying problems quickly and accurately using modern diagnostic tools and your in-depth knowledge of vehicle systems. Responsibilities + Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in gas and diesel vehicles + Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks + Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical problems + Conduct inspections and ensure vehicles meet safety and performance standards + Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment + Accurately document repairs and follow company procedures and safety guidelines + Requirements + 1–3 years of experience as a mechanic, with demonstrated diagnostic abilities + Strong understanding of electrical systems, sensors, and engine controls + Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and interpreting fault codes + Ability to work independently + Must possess a valid NC class C driver's license and a satisfactory driving record + must be able to lift/move materials/equipment's up to 90lbs + Strong work ethnic and reliability Benefits In addition to very competitive pay, employees of Prestage Farms receive: + Sick Pay + Vacation Pay + Holiday Pay + 401(k) Plan + Voluntary Medical Insurance + Voluntary Insurance options such as Dental, Vision, Etc.
