Position Summary

We are seeking a Measuring Specialist to strengthen our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will leverage the measurement expertise in 3D measurements, to assure that complex measurements can be performed in-house and contribute to the developments of new parts and suppliers.

 

The Measuring Specialist will be part of our quality team in Oud-Beijerland (Netherlands, South-Holland) and will be working in a high-performing, inclusive and collaborative working culture.

Essential Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

 

Programming of 3D Measurements: Create coordinate measuring machine (CMM) programs for new parts and maintain the programs for existing products.Incoming goods inspection / product audits: Perform the incoming goods inspection of the parts based on the requirements of the drawings using various available measuring instruments.Nonconforming product management: Capture the deviations in products, create a detailed report about the observations and inform the Supplier Quality Engineer and Purchasing departments.New product and supplier development: Act as the measuring expert in a cross-functional team when it comes to new product and supplier development. Calibration: Support the internal calibration system by performing CMM measurements on the measurement tools used within quality department and in production environment. Measurement System Analysis: Assist other colleagues with MSA studies based on the project and customer requirements.Supplier Capability Analysis: Perform the necessary measurements and support supplier quality engineer in assessing supplier capability. The ideal candidate has a business focused approach, is willing to work in a challenging environment and is always looking to improve. Key requirements are:

 

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role (including 3D measurement systems), ideally in automotive industry. Education: A bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field, or comparable experience is required.Technical Expertise: Leverage measurement expertise to assure quality and conformance of the parts.  Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is required. In-depth knowledge of geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) is preferred. Affinity with IATF16949 quality standard is a plus.Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to create CMM programs is desired.Language Skills: Fluent in English. Multilingual is a plus.Technology Proficiency: Proficient with Microsoft Office and web applications, with a strong ability to use data tools for reporting. Prioritization: Ability to efficiently manage multiple priorities and navigate a fast-paced environment.
