Job Description:
A hands-on Quality Professional responsible for making sure that engineering and manufacturing processes are performed correctly using the right tools, materials, best practices and processes. An important part of the job involves designing the company's quality standards and testing processes against those criteria. Provides statistical information for quality improvement by identifying and eliminating systematic gaps.
Key Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
· Hand's on experience on complicated drawing review for more than 8 years
· Worked in built to print (Machining, sheet metal, fabrication, etc.) manufacturing industries on NPD development & quality inspection team
· Collaborate with suppliers to understand technical issues and failure modes
· Knowledge on special process requirements for built to print commodities will be advantage
· Knowledge on welding requirements & weld symbols applications
· Interface with supplier quality engineers & suppliers to clarify/resolve drawing feedback and incorporate for manufacturing
· Track and follow up on redline feedbacks provided with BU engineers to incorporate in next revision of drawing release
· Maintain dashboards and KPIs related to drawing review feedback performance
· Work with procurement, design, production, and quality teams to resolve supplier mfg challenges
· Escalate critical issues to senior management or quality leadership
Functional Knowledge
· Understanding of Quality Management System and standards
· Familiarity with internal and supplier mfg processes
· Knowledge of document control and traceability requirements
· Procedures for identifying, documenting, and managing review feedbacks
· Use of tracking tools (e.g., SAP QM, NCM, or custom QMS platforms)
· Ability to lead or support manufacturing challenges, problem-solving processes
· Developing effective FMEA process with suppliers
· Verifying and validating corrective actions
· Understanding of supplier process capabilities and control plans
· Familiarity with PPAP, FMEA, and APQP methodologies
· Ability to assess and improve supplier quality performance
· Strong communication skills for working with suppliers and internal teams
Problem Solving
· Solves complex technical problems that have a broad impact on the business.
· Understanding and use of various problem-solving methodologies, such as 8D, six sigma, etc.
· Willingness to learn and flexible in problem-solving approaches
