Raytheon Mechanical Engineering leads in hardware design, development and production of radar, sonar, torpedo, and combat system equipment. The ME Team uses state-of the-art tools, processes, technology, and RMD's Six Sigma principles. MPT’s capabilities encompass a broad range of technical disciplines which include engineering, manufacturing, technical services, materials, processes, analysis, test, and documentation. The Air Defense Ground Equipment (ADGE) Department leads mechanical design, development, and integration of platform systems. This includes shelter systems, hardware integration, cable & interconnections, as well as facility development, and site integration. The department is comprised of individuals with technical expertise and experience in hardware design, integration, and production support. The ADGE Department is looking for a full-time on-site Mechanical Engineer, located in Tewksbury, MA to join the MCAD (Mechanical Computer-Aided Design) team. This is an On-Site Role. Responsibilities to Anticipate: Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components, sub-assemblies, and major end items for defense system equipment in accordance with system requirements. Interface with other engineering disciplines, non-technical disciplines, and suppliers to develop design solutions and resolve technical challenges. Factory and supplier support of product integration domestically and internationally Support development, evaluation, and analysis of mechanical designs. Drawing generation, drawing release, and drawing change incorporation Resolution of change requests from manufacturing or suppliers Holding design reviews and resolving action items Development of rework and/or modification procedures Support the production floor on a regular basis, collecting issues, providing status and participate in problem resolution. Utilize CREO CAD tool for modeling and documentation creation. Qualifications You Must Have Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Engineering Project Experience This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships). The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
