Materials Specialist III - 2nd Shift

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred; or three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.

Maintain raw materials for facility by planning, reviewing, analyzing, and monitoring all requirements using planned order report and MRP system.  Supports purchasing department to follow up and coordinate inbound and outbound supplier shipments.  Supports manufacturing with coordination of subcontracting activities.

Duties and Responsibilities 

Review raw materials status and take appropriate action. Responsible for inventories raw material rack; including issuing and expediting raw materials. Maintain and update inventory of incoming shipments and orders on computer system. Receive and issue orders and documentation for all vendor deliveries of processed materials. Order, reschedule, or expedite any outside processing according to current MRP requirements. Assist purchasing department in purchase order preparation by preparing purchase requisitions, obtaining quote information from material suppliers, releasing purchase orders to vendors, and obtaining the quality departments approval. Maintain receiving department logs and issue reports monitoring usage, issue and trends. Perform subcontracting activities including entering purchase orders, changing routines, contacting suppliers and ensuring a timely turnaround of product. Manage current min/max and other programs as required. Other duties as assigned.
