Materials Specialist I

Basic Requirements: 

High school diploma or GED preferred. Minimum 1-year experience related to materials and/or shipping/receiving  ​Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Knowledge of ERP and/or SAP systems Certified Forklift Operator Certificate Ability to use electric weight scales

Key Responsibilities: 

Moving raw materials throughout the manufacturing process as needed to maintain production schedules.  Maintain inventory accuracy and control of material stores including finished goods and raw materials Package, stage, and ship finished goods.  When necessary, expedite critical shipments Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement daily by your actions  Take the initiative to resolve materials related issues with interaction from supervisor/Manager Perform physical counts of products/components in the manufacturing process or in storage as needed to assist in inventory audits.  Perform other tasks as needed in support of manufacturing operations, customers, and suppliers Comply with all EHS rules and regulations and supervisory instructions. Report all incidents including injuries, spills, fires, property damage, and near misses to their supervisor Able to work with minimum or no supervision Practice 5s standards and keep area clean daily

Physical Demands: 

Must be able to lift/move 30 lbs. (may not exceed per EHS policies) Must be able to stand for long periods of time  Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. Requires bending, squatting, reaching.
