Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Materials Planner/Buyer. The position will be based at our facility in El Paso, Texas. The expected annual salary range for this role is $56250.0 - $82500.0 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. **What you’ll do:** **What you’ll do:** This position is responsible of the planning and execution of obtaining needed material at the right time in the right quantity and also for Inventory Value, DOH, E&O for each product line. This individual will work closely with the plant operations teams to deploy standard processes and tools to optimize materials operations, manage supplier leadership discussions, and escalate items to buyers and Commodity Managers as necessary. This will include onsite support for driving continuous improvement and problem solving. **Essential functions:** • Coordinate incoming raw materials from external vendors. • MRO Purchases. • Vendor invoice support with account payables. • PPAP support to liberate new parts on time according to internal procedures. • Source new parts. • Check shortage report and assures material availability. • Controls Inventory Value and is constantly checking over maximum inventory to look for reduction opportunities. • Create purchase orders and monitor material delivery. • Troubleshoot MRP exceptions. • Maintain consignment levels and requests. • Expedite materials outside of the regular Ordering Process. • Prioritize delivery according to Planning Information regarding G.O.'s. • Monthly min/max analysis to avoid material shortage or excess. • Lead material deviations regarding material availability, (Quality, Logistics, Discrepancies) • Requests on time cycle counts in case item goes below 50% min and assure the production plan is covered. • Maintain excess/obsolete material controlled. • Review material requirements planning, capacity requirements, planning and logistics. • Support procurement team upon request in processing urgent PO’s and helping to expedite specific commodities. **Qualifications:** **Basic Qualifications:** + High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution + Minimum 2 years of experience in Supply Chain, Materials, Procurement or Buyer position + Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Prior experience working directly with vendors. + MRO experience. + Sourcing experience. + Inventory Management/ Material Ordering Tools (Kanban/ Min and Max, etc.) + Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or supply chain from an accredited institution + Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives. + Bi-lingual in English/Spanish. **Skills:** + Communication skills across multiple functions. + Proactive approach to problem solving. + Sense of urgency and ownership on situations outside of their control. + Analytical negotiation skills. + Knowledge in Excel. + Experience in Oracle and SAP.
